Shiftline is a text-message service that answers questions about work schedules. It is operated by dr34m LLC, a Wisconsin company (“we”). This policy covers the Shiftline phone number, this website, and the manager upload page.
What we collect
- From managers: your name, email, business name, the schedules you upload, and the roster of staff names and phone numbers you enter. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- From staff who text us: your phone number, the messages you send and our replies, your language, and a record of whether and when you said yes to reminders.
- From this website: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept by our host for security. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
How we use it
- To answer schedule questions from the schedule your employer uploaded.
- To send shift reminders, only to people who said yes.
- To run, secure and improve the service, and to respond to support requests.
- To bill managers for paid plans.
Text messaging and your mobile number
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. All the categories of sharing listed below exclude text messaging opt-in data and consent.
We only text people who texted Shiftline first. Reminders go only to people who replied yes to our offer. Reply STOP at any time to stop all messages, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
Business referrals
Staff and managers can tell us about a business owner or manager who might want Shiftline, by text or on the manager page. We store the name and business they give us, the business address from public map data, and who referred them. We use it only to contact that business about Shiftline by email, phone or in person, never by text message. The person referred can ask us to delete it at any time. We never show a manager which of their staff made a referral.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Shiftline:
- Twilio, to send and receive text messages.
- Cloudflare, to host this website and our software.
- AI model providers, to read uploaded schedules and write replies. They receive message text and schedule data, not your account details. We configure them not to keep it or train their models on it.
- Stripe, to process payments.
Your employer controls the schedule and roster for their business. Anyone on a roster can ask who is working a given day, as they could by reading a posted schedule. We never give out anyone's phone number in a reply.
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of people or the service.
How long we keep it
- Text messages: 90 days.
- Reminder opt-in and opt-out records: for the life of the account plus four years, to show consent.
- Schedules and rosters: while the account is active, deleted within 30 days after it closes.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to stop all texts. Reply START to resume.
- Email us to see, correct or delete your information. We will respond within 30 days. We keep opt-out records even after deletion so we don't text you again.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and access is limited to the people who run the service. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you, we will tell you.
Children
Shiftline is a workplace tool and is not directed to children under 13.
